The Department of Labor has in response to soaring temperatures throughout the United States. According to a release detailing the announcement, the alert is meant to 鈥渞emind employers of their obligation to protect workers against heat illness or injury in outdoor and indoor workplaces.鈥
In addition to the alert, OSHA will investigate and enforce heat safety regulations. High-risk industries, such as agriculture and construction, will be an area of focus for the agency鈥檚 efforts.
