Thank you for trusting me to serve as Â鶹Èë¿Ú’s President.

As I look to the coming year, I would like to share some topline priorities that will ensure Â鶹Èë¿Ú continues to add value for its members.

Enhancing the Delivery of Information
Â鶹Èë¿Ú is a boundless hub for information about several facets of our industry. Enabling easy access to that information is critical. A new Â鶹Èë¿Ú website will launch in Q1 2025 to maximize the member experience. It will highlight all the valuable content that our association produces while also enabling quick and easy access to the standards that remain the foundation of Â鶹Èë¿Ú’s mission.
Speaking of content, we are ramping up our embrace of new delivery methods, such as podcasts, webinars and cutting-edge infographics, to make it even easier to absorb the information Â鶹Èë¿Ú provides.

Strengthening the Industry Through Engagement
Â鶹Èë¿Ú is your association. It’s only as strong as what its members put into it, and that strength comes through robust engagement. Not only does engagement help us build a stronger association, but it helps you build your professional network. One of the most valuable examples of this work includes collaborating on task forces and committees. These groups add value to your membership. There are so many topics that these bodies engage in, whether addressing megaproject challenges, growing your work in testing & balancing, keeping track of construction technology advancements or enhancing your workforce training. I urge you to take this opportunity to learn, grow and share.

We must also continue to engage new Associate Members. These partners bring a lot of knowledge, especially regarding emerging technologies and tools that enhance work quality.

Leveraging a Strong Partnership with Labor
Maintaining a robust management/labor partnership is crucial in building the labor pool we need to move our industry forward. We must identify and leverage best practices in recruitment, retention and onboarding. Collaboratively, Â鶹Èë¿Ú and SMART are working to build a workforce where everyone is valued for their gifts and skills, regardless of ethnicity or origin. When our industry reflects the communities we serve, we can attract the best and the brightest to our teams.

Finally, we must advocate for all of our members, no matter their discipline. Each Â鶹Èë¿Ú member brings something unique and valuable. Â鶹Èë¿Ú is your association. Everyone has a place here, whether you are a multi-generational company or a small contractor looking to grow.
